Fibre Mood’s Leona sweater

The Leona sweater did not caught my eye right away in the new Fibre Mood*. However, after seeing more and more Leona sweaters I wanted to make one for myself. However, I do not like poofy sleeves so I did some alterations.

First of all I took 6 cm off from the center of the sleeve so that I did not need as many gathers on the sleeve. Secondly I lowered the neckline 2-3 cm because I prefer a lower neckline.
At first I was also doubting the length of the sweater. In the end I did not change the length, but I would definitely check if you like the length before you start. It is a rather short sweater. The Leona sweater is a great basic but not so basic sweater. Have a look at the many other Leona’s that people sewed.

Of course I could not sew something in one plain colour so for the cuffs, hem and neckband I used the fabric inside out. As you can see the inside is a soft brushed french terry so I have nice soft bands.
