Luckily our daughter wasn’t the only one who received a new Vivax dress. It is finally time for an Adult Vivax top and dress from Sofilantjes*. I sewed up three Vivax dresses for myself all with the cowl add on. I am a big fan and wore all of them since I sewed them.

I like that depending of the fabric that you use, the dress gives a different feeling. The final version of the dress is the black with flowers dress. I think it is a fancier dress that I would easily wear to work. I used the sleeve with two colour blocks. For the middle colour block I wanted a shiny grey fabric, which I did not have in my stash so I became creative. For the grey fabric I used the wrong side of the colored velvet that I used in this dress.

The second version I sewed was with French Terry fabric from About Blue. It gives a more casual feel. I love how comfortable the cowl and pockets are. Which version do you like most?
What I like even more is that I can sew this dress with just one meter of fabric (the main fabric). You do need the colour blocked sleeves and use a different fabric for the cowl. But my stash has mainly one meter pieces of fabric and this dress (with my 163 cm) fits that perfectly.

Fabric: the green diagonal French Terry is Garden Days from About Blue. The flowers with black is a punta di Roma fabric that I used for this sweater and comes from Caresstoffen.
