Christmas ornaments

I love Christmas and I love sewing for our Christmas tree even more! I just hung our Christmas Advent Calendar so the Christmas spirit is starting in our house.

I sewed our family in mini pals some time ago, which our youngest still loves to play with, so when I saw the mini pals holiday ornaments from Heidi & Finn Patterns I bought them right away. There are different sets available for holiday ornaments, elves, angels, Santa and Mrs. Clause, but there is also a collection of all these 4 sets together available.

I bought the holiday ornaments set and created with this set my own angels, elves, Santa and Mrs. Clause. I felt the holiday ornaments included all the pattern pieces I needed to recreate all the ornaments I wanted.

I love how they turned out and decided to give them as Christmas presents to my parents and my mother in law last year. I must admit it is a bit of an intensive project but the result is just lovely. I loved to plan all the different outfits for the elves, angles, Santa and Mrs Clause. These are great as a scrap buster!

Fabrics: all the fabrics came from my stash. For the eyes I used 4 mm safety eyes (veiligheidsoogjes), which I bought at Chellebel.
