Cube cardigan from Misusu

A new pattern from Misusu is always a party right? I have sewed many of her patterns and I love each and every one of them. So when I saw a new pattern call I of course applied. I was one of the lucky testers and I sewed two Cube Cardigans from Misusu.

The cube cardigan has lots of options. I let our eldest choose the options she wanted and she choose the puff sleeves with a flat shoulder band. And I love how the cardigans turned out. I am usually not the biggest fan of puff sleeves, but in the cube cardigan they are just too cute.

Our eldest even picked out the fabrics for both cardigans. When she was picking out the fabrics for the first one (the black and blue one, which you can see below) she said she didn’t like pink anymore. So I was very surprised that she picked out the pink sleeves for the second cardigan. I opted for mint sleeves but she preferred the pink. She even prefers the scale cardigan over the other cardigan in the end.

For the flat shoulder band I sewed alpenfleece inside out so I got a nice soft touch. The remaining fabrics are French Terry and brushed French Terry for the sleeves.

The black cube cardigan that I sewed is the first version that I sewed and the sleeves changed a bit during the testing process. The pink cardigan was sewed with the final pattern.

Fabric: The scale fabric comes from Hip en Eigenwijs stoffen, Lines & Dots multicolor by Lycklig Design (black fabric) from Naaiplezier

  1. Heel mooi gemaakt.
