The Just dance dress and tunic from Black Label Pattern Co is another one of those dresses that was on my to sew list with an amazing back detail. When I received this beautiful retro fabric from Juels I knew it just had to become this dress.

You can choose between 1, 2 or 3 layers for the skirt when sewing the dress. I found the first layer too short to show off this beautiful retro fabric so I opted for the 2 layers dress. The tunic has the options of 1 or 2 layers for the skirt. The fit of the top was spot one. However, for the next one I would make the bottom part of the back (the purple part on the back) less wide. It tends to gape a little bit with our girl and I like it to be closer to her back.

Again I chose for the rolled hem, I am on a roll with the rolled hem (…). I just love that you add some extra colour to a skirt and once you have done a rolled hem it is not difficult at all. I just dislike threading this thick thread through my overlocker. And look at that twirl factor! You can imagine our girl loves it!
