Pintuck Magnolia dress

Every time I saw the Magnolia Top and Dress from Stitch upon a time I thought, I should make that dress. But that was before I knew there was the option of pintucks included. It was the first time to sew pintucks and I love the result. I love patterns with a little something extra. The pintucks give the feeling of dept and movement.

The Magnolia dress is a quick sew and makes a cute dress. There are three extra add-ons available for the Magnolia dress:
* Folded sleeve cuffs
* Drawstring Waist
* Round hem
You can find these free add-ons in the Stitch upon a time Facebook group.

The dress has some great elements for colour blocking. I used the rainbow jersey for the sleeve cuffs and pockets. There are not just any pockets, it is one big kangaroo pocket. Our girl loves to put her arms through it until the other side. The moment the fabric arrived our eldest wanted a dress with the sloth fabric. She loves sloths and rainbows so I combined the two with the sloth and rainbow fabric. She picks it out of the clean laundry basket the moment it is washed.

Fabric: sloth fabric comes from Evim Textiel stoffen, the blue stripes comes from Nooteboom Textiles
Pattern: Magnolia Top and Dress from Stitch upon a time
Sizing: NB – 12Y
