Another summer Montis dress

When will the summer start? I am hoping soon, so that our girls get to wear their summer dresses. I just keep on hoping and sewing summer dresses! At least our girls will wear them during our holiday in Italy, which seems to really be happening this summer. The newest summer dress is the Montis tunic and dress from Sofilantjes*, which is discounted 15% until June 11th together with the Risu dress.

The Montis tunic and dress has two different top options. The front is the same for both options, it is just the back that is different. Option A has 2 straps on the back (and is lined). Option B (the option I sewed, which has just one layer of fabric) has the same back as the front and has just one strap. The Montis bodice can be combined with the Solis and Litore skirts. So lots of different combinations can be made.
In order to finish the hem of the skirt I used bias tape. The bias tape is woven but it just had the perfect colour and worked quite well. It even makes the skirt stand out nicely.
Our girl loves the dress, it looks so princess-like she said, and of course she loves the pockets! I sewed one for her 4 years ago when the pattern was released, now her little sister gets to wear it.

Fabric: comes from Evim Textiel stoffen
