Make-up remover set

Sofiona Designs just released the Cloudberry collection, a new set which includes a washing bag, a storage basket and remover pads. This make-up remover set is perfect as a gift or to just keep for yourself. You can buy the pattern, or if you subscribe to the newsletter (of have subscribed to the newsletter in the past) you can get it for free!

I love pattern testing because they “force” me to make things that are on my sewing list but just do not happen. These make up remover pads are already on my list for a while. In the meanwhile I bought washable remover pads, but making them myself is so much more fun. I used the inside of brushed French Terry for one side (the side that you use for removing make up) and woven cotton for the other side. I love that you can put your fingers inside the pad, so useful!

For the washing bag I used cotton as well. There is also the option of using mesh or use binding around the bag. I went for the simplest option because I didn’t have mesh on hand. I love the hexagon shapes of all pieces. I have a weak spot for geometrical patterns so this pattern is really up my alley.
