I knew when I was sewing the Rose hip Jacket for our daughter I wanted one as well. Once I heard about the Miss Rose hip Jacket from Sofiona Designs I started looking for fabric to make my perfect jacket.
Since this is the third garment (with this Clover sweater and this Rose hip jacket) already that I sewed with the zippered pocket on the sleeve, I know it takes time to make it nice and neat. It is a project that takes time but feels so satisfactory after finishing it. I used borg fabric on the inside I sized 1 size up to make sure it wouldn’t be too snug around the arms. I used the same fabric for the inside as with the rose hip jacket for our eldest. With her I used the borg just on the bodice. For myself I completely lined the jacket with borg.
I love the colour blocking lines on this jacket. There is also the option of just one line, the option I used for the Rose Hip jacket for our eldest. There is also an option without any design lines, for those you prefer one coloured jackets. The Rose hip jacket is made for woven fabrics. I used a rib fabric for the most part of my jacket and the coloured stripe is made of cotton. The Miss Clover hoodie, which also just released is made for knit fabrics.
