More cozy dresses

I love the cozy dress by Made by Runi. Every time I see one, I fall in love with the dress all over again and I want to sew more. I especially love the cozy dress for the winter season. After the cozy dress from last year, which she unfortunately doesn’t fit anymore (it is too short), it was time to sew another one. Well actually I sewed two, one for our youngest two girls. The cozy dress (and all other cozy patterns) are pattern of the week, so discounted this week.

The cozy dress has different options included. You can either choose a regular neckband or a cowl. In my previous cozy dress I used the cowl that is included in the pattern. This time I used the free cross-over cowl and hood add-on (because I love mine so much in my hoodie). It fits a bit looser around the neck, which our girl prefers. For our youngest I used the neckband.

Additionally, there are three types of pockets included. Round pockets (that I used for our youngest), more triangular pockets and pockets that go all the way to the bottom of the dress. And of course you can leave the pockets off, like I did with the dress for our middle one.

I always like to use multiple fabrics in my garments. But there is also an option of having the dress as one piece. I also like to add a piece of fabric in between the upper and lower part of the dress. I also added a piece of fabric in the before I added the cuffs of the dress for our middle daughter.

Fabric: the heart sweat fabric was a leftover from this dress, the red french terry comes from my stash. The Lillestoff fabric was a leftover from this dress, the brique coloured fabric comes from Nooteboom Textiles.
