I sewed the top version of the Amicis, which is the shortest length of the pattern. It includes three more lengths, tunic, dress and maxi length. A great staple pattern! It has a neckband and sleeve cuffs, which means you only need to hem the bottom. I love such quick sews. I already sewed three and I can sew one within an hour.
I combined the amicis top with an Arcus skirt, perfect for using up scraps. The arcus is designed for knit fabric. I still used knit for the waistband and top part of the skirt. For the bottom I used sweat fabric with little stretch. A perfect winter skirt it is!
Also the purple fabric was a leftover so I didn’t have exactly enough fabric to cut the bottom pattern pieces. I had to cut the skirt about 2 cm shorter. Therefore, instead of hemming I decided to add a stripe of fabric to compensate for the hem that I was short off. I love the pop of colour at the bottom of the skirt.
Fabric: The dots and sweat are already in my stash for a long time.
