Cross my heart cardigan

My first project during our sewing weekend was the cross my heart cardigan by Max and Meena patterns*. During my pattern tests I usually sew for our two older girls. So it was time to sew something for our smallest girl.

I saw this pattern already long before but bought it when we were expecting our youngest. I think it looks so cute! And after sewing I can say it is a great pattern too. I like the little straps that are used for the snaps. They are just brilliant because they do not stretch and therefore the snaps do not have the possibility of tearing the fabric. I didn’t think to take any ribbon with me during the sewing weekend. But luckily there was somebody who did! And she just had the perfect match to the fabric, I love that little detail.

Fabric: the mountain fabric is Indian Summer – Woodland Oak from Art Gallery Fabric that I bought at joyfits, the mint fabric comes from my store in Italy. The fabric is a leftover from this sweater.
