Busan Top by Itch to Stitch

I am not a real fashionista like some seamstresses are. I am more of a follower when it comes to fashion, or maybe a late follower. I usually don’t really like all the new things that are ‘hot’ at the moment. Only after seeing things for a long time (a few years) I am like, ‘that is actually quite nice’. However, now that I sew for myself and also test for myself these things sometimes change. I love to be challenged in life and that is what pattern testing does for me. Both in skills, but also sewing outside of my comfort zone when it comes to designs.

When I first saw the Busan top* by Itch to Stitch I wasn’t sure whether it was something for me. But I love patterns by Itch to Stitch, so I decided to sign up for the test. I love the pleats! And now that it is finished I love it (and hopefully I am wearing something that is ‘in’ now 😉). My Christmas top is ready!

I used punta di roma, which is one of my favourite types of fabric to sew with for myself. It always sits nice (and doesn’t accentuate the wrong parts). Especially the pleats are nicely shown off in this punta di roma.

  1. I love your fabric tracking! I should try to do that this coming year! I love this top too. I think it's my favorite ITS one so far.
