Mighty Mitts for the little misses

This weekend I sewed three pairs of mittens! They are perfect gifts and perfect scrap busters. The first pair I am showing you are the ones for our little one. The Mighty Mitts by Eldenberry Blossoms are great due to the velcro to make them stay put on the hands of your little one.

The Mighty Mitts come in sizes preemie to 2-3 years. The mitts are lined so no seams to bother your little one. I used sweat for the outside and knit for the inside, but you can also use a thicker fabric for the lining if you want to make them for outside use. Make sure to size up if you are using a thicker fabric. I used velcro to close the mitts, but you can also use snaps (instructions are also included in the pattern). Don’t they look cute on her? I sewed size 3-12 months, so she can use them for a long time.

Fabric: Magic Wood Acorn sweat which I bought at Micha’s Stoffecke. The fabric was a scrap from this sweater and this dress.
